More than 40 Southern Baptist pastors and leaders gathered on Wednesday morning, November 8, 2023, at King's Cross Church, La Jolla, California, praying, participating in a small group hands-on training, and fellowshipping.
The training started with a special prayer time led by Judy Carlisle, wife of Mike Carlisle, DOM (Director of Missions) of SDSBA (San Diego Southern Baptist Association). The men and women of God prayed for the peace of Jerusalem, Israel, fellow ailing pastor, local association staff, and the hurting world.
Following the two-hour training led by Philip Byers, Executive Pastor of Ministries at North Coast Church, the pastors and staff enjoyed a fellowship lunch. It was time well spent learning a new and fresh small-group evangelism strategy. It was an invaluable spiritual refreshment.
