“When the uproar had ended, Paul sent for the disciples and, after encouraging them, said good-by and set out for Macedonia. He traveled through that area, speaking many words of encouragement to the people, and finally arrived in Greece,” – Acts 20:1-2

After graduating from high school in Florida with nowhere to turn, Christina Meredith spent over a year homeless and living in her car after aging out of foster care. Eager for a fresh start, Christina moved out to California, where she took a series of odd jobs. A beauty pageant recruiter saw her and encouraged her to compete in the Miss California pageant. In April 2013, Christina won the title of Ms. California and has since dedicated herself to speaking out on behalf of abused children all over the country.

Christina’s strong faith in God and her passion for life are the driving force behind her founding her non-profit, which helps underprivileged young girls and women. She reminds others that only the Lord can take our places of doubt, discouragement, and pain and turn it all for good.

Everyone needs encouragement in this life. Today in prayer, praise Jesus for the encouragement you have received from others and seek to encourage someone today to follow Christ.

“Flatter me, and I might not believe you.

Criticize, and I might not like you

Ignore me, and I might not forgive you

Encourage me, and I will not forget you.” – William Arthur Ward

God’s Word: “But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness.” – Hebrews 3:13
