WHERE CONTENTMENT IS FOUND

“But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction.” – 1 Timothy 6:8-9
 
On November 4, 2010, Eunice Sandborn became the world’s oldest living person. She celebrated her 114th birthday on July 20, 2010, at her church, First Baptist, in Jacksonville, Texas. 
She had been confined to her bed for several years but was often helped to a chair outside her home in Jacksonville, Texas, where she had lived for 75 years.
She was married three times, her most recent husband passing away in 1979. She outlived her only daughter.
Eunice said that she not only loves everything about her life, but she also had “no complaints.” If she had wanted to complain, she would have had many things accumulate throughout her 114 years but she was content. This lady has demonstrated that complaining and contentment are choices.
 
Contentment can be found in knowing Jesus and loving Him. Today in prayer, praise the Lord for your life and be content in all that He has given you.
