My name is Adam Christman and I am a California native. I grew up in Bakersfield, and the Lord saved me in my home there when my mother led me to the Lord. I married Rachel just over 15 years ago, after graduating from Cal Baptist University, and the Lord has graciously given us three children over the years. I earned an MDiv with Gateway Seminary (then, Golden Gate), and finished a Ph.D. with Gateway last year. The Lord brought me through a variety of ministry experiences, from small churches to big churches, very traditional church styles and very contemporary church styles, from here to Asia and Mexico. My last place of service was as an associate pastor for Cornelia Avenue Southern Baptist Church in Fresno, where I served for four years before God called me to serve as the senior pastor of First Baptist Church of Clairemont.
It is my hope to revitalize FBC Clairemont as we reach our neighbors with the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of all nations. I am excited to see our neighborhood transformed into a small picture of heaven on earth as men, women, boys, and girls come to faith in Jesus Christ all around us.
In the time I have for hobbies, I enjoy reading all kinds of books, movies, and tabletop gaming. I'm a big Lord of the Rings fan! One of my favorite ways to unwind is by watching my favorite show, Mystery Science Theater 3000.
