NO ONE IS LIKE HIM

"And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way." - Ephesians 1:22-23

The Watchman-Examiner was an American Baptist newspaper that began publication in 1819 and closed its doors in 1970. On the subject of the Unique Christ, it wrote:

“His birth was contrary to the laws of life. His death was contrary to the laws of death. He had no cornfields or fisheries but He could spread a table for five thousand and have bread and fish to spare. He walked on no beautiful carpets or velvet rugs, but He walked on the waters of the Sea of Galilee and they supported Him.

Three years He preached His Gospel. He wrote no book, built no church house, had no monetary backing. But after two thousand years, He is the one central character of human history, the Pivot around which the events of the ages revolve, and the only Regenerator of the human race.

Was it merely the Son of Joseph and Mary, who crossed the world’s horizon two thousand years ago? What it merely human blood that was spilled at Calvary’s hill for the redemption of sinners? What thinking man can keep from exclaiming: ‘My Lord and My God!’”

Jesus stands alone; no one is like Him. Today in prayer, give thanks to Christ that He is Lord of all.

"If ever man was God or God man, Jesus Christ was both." - Lord Byron

God's Word: "And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him" - Colossians 1:18-19
