The website wallethub.com looked at 180 cities in the United States to determine to what level they are a “sin city”. The site ranked the cities across 37 key indicators of evil deeds. For instance, Las Vegas is ranked #1 in gambling. Gambling addiction leads to over $100 billion in losses for U.S. consumers every year.
St. Louis, Missouri was ranked #3 overall in the vice index. St. Louis is ranked #1 in “Anger and Hatred” as well as #1 in “Excesses and Vices”.
On the other end of the scale, Pearl City, Hawaii had the lowest vice index of the 180 cities on the list. But it was not without its faults. The people of Pearl City were ranked #26 in Greed.
The website admonishes us “No place is innocent. We all have demons.”
Our natural inclination is toward wickedness. It is only through the grace of the Lord that we are saved. Today in prayer, confess any sin in your heart and seek to follow Christ in all you do.
