“As dead flies give perfume a bad smell, so a little folly outweighs wisdom and honor.” - Ecclesiastes 10:1

On Thanksgiving night 2019, 911 received a call from a 65-year-old man in Maine. Ronald Cyr, of Van Buren, Maine, called emergency services after he was shot by a gun. He was taken to a nearby hospital and died from his injuries. The gun had been a part of his home security system that he had rigged in his own home.
Upon arriving at the scene, investigators found Cyr's front door was rigged with a device "designed to fire a handgun should anyone attempt to enter the door," police said.
"Following an extensive investigation that lasted into the early morning hours by the Maine State Police, the Maine State Police Bomb Squad and the Van Buren Police Department, it was determined that Mr. Cyr had been shot as the result of the unintentional discharge of one of his homemade devices," police said.

Foolishness can take lives. Today in prayer, ask Jesus to give you wisdom in all that you do so you may bring honor and glory to Him.

"Wisdom is the right use of knowledge. To know is not to be wise. Many men know a great deal and are all the greater fools for it. There is no fool so great a fool as a knowing fool. But to know how to use knowledge is to have wisdom." - Charles H. Spurgeon

God's Word: "Every prudent man acts out of knowledge, but a fool exposes his folly." - Proverbs 13:16
