Count the Cost is Alive!

This past week over 50 pastors, leaders, and their wives from across California gathered at the Hyatt Regency in La Jolla for a Count the Cost Summit. The purpose of the meeting was to reconnect after 18 months of zoom only meetings with Count the Cost pastors and consultants to say “thank you” for a job well done and cast vision for the future of Count the Cost.

Dr. Neighbour, Team Leader for the CSBC Church Revitalization Team said the event was great success. Mike Proud (DOM, Orange County) and Jason Robertson (Pastor, Huntington Beach Baptist Church) shared how the church grew during Covid through outreach plans created and developed by his own church leaders in drive through prayer events that led to salvations, baptisms, and church attendance increase. Roger Byrd, Revitalization Team member shared the impact that Consultants are having in their 30 minute, once a month conversations with the 90 Count the Cost pastors and churches.

Dr. Agee, CSBC Executive Director brought the final challenge to the meeting sharing how he used Count the Cost as a strategy to bring success to our state convention and thanked all those who led so well through the pandemic.

A big thank you to Team San Diego Association for their help in pulling this off! Mike Carlisle was so helpful in landing a location at Gracepoint Church with pastor Bob Johnson. Unbelievable San Diego hosts!

The next step for Count the Cost is the development of Count the Cost Champions. This group will be trained to teach Count the Cost across the state, expanding the influence strategic church growth throughout the state.
